//Program// In the workshop, the tapa appears as a summary or sample of a greater unit, a concept that implies time, narrative, experience and outcome. The tapa as a visual unit. The workshop aims to carry out visual exploratory work using video and photography, through the construction of the object and the description of its preparation. Through the cinema, we will work with large scale units using two exercises: “autopsy” and “tapa” as its visual essence.

//Attendance// Free of charge! The workshop is targeted to designers, creative professionals, or students who study design and art. Selection process will be applied if the number of the applicants exceeds that of the slots(15).

The chemistory between Design and Gastronomy will be presented. Those who will participate in the design workshop as well as the gastronomy workshop will also be welcome to the final presentation.

Who is Luis Urculo. Luis Úrculo (1978), a designer, trained as an architect, develops his works in an open format of small and indefinite architecture. “I no longer know what architecture is and what an architect should do”. Always interested in all that is peripheral to architecture, the processes, developments and approaches that can be manipulated, sampled and translated into other scales, adapting to the composition of the project, creating new scenes/ experiences / expectations not contemplated previously.

About the gastronomy workshop Miguel Angel de la Cruz (restaurant La Botica), young and top notch chef will lead the students of Hattori Nutrition College developping new interpretation and creation of Spanish traditional Tapas. The workshop will take place on Nov 13th and 14th.
